MESSAGE FROM THE PTSO PRESIDENTS 

We have an exciting week ahead.  As you all know, this Thursday, November 21st is the PTSO/WHS Challenge Success Event -- An evening with Drs. Anthony Rao and Paul Napper who will present on the Power of Agency.   Please come and be part of this important conversation.   If you know of friends who might be interested in attending, please pass along the information.     RSVP  and let us know that you will be attending.

Opportunities to Engage with School Committee ...  
 
The School Committee is pleased to continue its  Office Hours which provide the community an opportunity for engagement with one or two members of the Committee on a monthly basis.  Members also participate in monthly Central Council meetings to discuss relevant issues.
Community members who wish to engage with the Committee but cannot attend office hours are encouraged to participate in  Public Comment at a future meeting, or email the Committee and the Superintendent at  [email protected] .

"Ending Hunger One Bowl at a Time" 


You are invited to the 4th annual Empty Bowls Charity Banquet, hosted by the Wellesley High School Ceramics Students and Teacher Amie Larson.  Empty Bowls is a national grassroots movement to help end hunger.  Proceeds will benefit the Boston Food Bank and the WPSAS 2020 Emerging Artist High School Scholarship.  Directly following our event at 7 PM: screening of the Challenge Success: Power of Agency film in the WHS Auditorium.

The Wellesley Hills Junior Women's Club (WHJWC) will host the 43rd annual Wellesley Marketplace on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the Wellesley High School, 50 Rice Street, Wellesley from 9am-4pm.  M arketplace is an annual retail favorite for those seeking unique holiday gifts for family and friends.  Shoppers have access to over 200 vendors and artisans from New England and afar.  Available wares include gourmet foods, hostess and teacher gifts, jewelry and clothing, home accessories, ornaments, children's toys and accessories, even dog toys and treats.   Visit   www.whjwc.org  for tickets and more details. 


Wellesley Middle School -- Fall Musical -- "Singing in the Rain" running from Thursday, Nov. 21 to Saturday, Nov. 23. Tickets are $15 adults and $10 for students (K-12) and senior citizens.
