Construction Notice
New Water Pipeline Replacement

As part of the City of Burlingame’s Shoreland Subdivision Water Improvements Project to replace aging infrastructure and improve reliability to residents and businesses, the City has contracted with Stoloski & Gonzales, Inc. to replace the existing water pipeline along the following streets:
  • Winchester Drive
  • Corbitt Drive
  • Francisco Drive
  • Marin Drive
  • Oak Grove Avenue between Winchester Drive and Rollins Road

Construction will begin this week and is expected to continue through March 2019. As always, the work schedule is dependent on weather, holidays, and other unanticipated delays.

This is what you can expect during this project:
  • Construction hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
  • Left hand turns will be restricted within construction areas.
  • Temporary parking restrictions will be posted at least 48 hours in advance.
  • There will be uneven pavement, including metal plates, between construction and re-paving activities.
  • 48 hour advance notice will be given for temporary water shutoffs, as required, in order to connect to existing infrastructure. The City does not anticipate any water shut off to last more than 8 hours.
  • There may be short delays accessing properties or driveways. The contractor will temporarily place metal plates over open trenches to provide access when needed.
  • The contractor should not need to enter your home. If there is a need to enter your home due to an emergency, the contractor will be accompanied by a City representative, who will show proper identification.

Please call or email Kevin Okada, Senior Civil Engineer with the City of Burlingame, if you have questions. Kevin can be reached at 650-558-7213 or kokada@burlingame.org
