Telephone Tip of the Month
Text or call clients when they're late for exams
When a client is 15 minutes late for a pet's appointment, text or call her. Use a texting service through your practice-management software or a third-party provider. If calling, say, "Hello, <client name>. This is <your name> from <Your Veterinary Hospital>. We expected to see you and <pet's name> at 3 p.m. Please call us to let us know you're on the way or need to reschedule your exam. We want to help <pet name> get the medical care he/she needs.
