Weekly News to the entire Lake Pointe community
Weekly News & Updates for the LPA Community                     November 10, 2018

Spotlight: History

From the Creation to the Civil War, LPA elementary parents were taken through the ages as their students put on display their history knowledge Thursday night . With Lake Pointe's history curriculum's cyclical nature, many of the classes' studies cross over with each other. In the picture above, the 2nd and 6th grade classes took the stage to share about the Middle Ages.

The class of 2019 after their last debate
7th through 12th grades continued the historical focus Friday as they participated in Lincoln-Douglas debates. Based on their history classes, students were assigned to affirmative or negative teams that debated historical and moral topics. Though judges declared winners, everyone who participated did an excellent job.
