Fall Fun!
Hispanic Heritage Family Night
All Saints families enjoyed a special school-wide family event recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month on October 17th. This showcased the culmination of Hispanic Heritage Month with dance, songs, artwork, digital projects - and fantastic food! Special thanks to Spanish teacher Mrs. Weinberg, all the students and especially the mothers who cooked and helped make this a great event. See photos of the event HERE.

LEGO Robotics Teams Take 1st Place for Projects at Regional Tournament
All Saints has participated in the First LEGO League for six years, which challenges kids "to think like scientists and engineers." This year's challenge was to identify a physical or social problem faced by humans during long space exploration. Our teams, the Amazing Knights and Flaming Marshmallows, researched the challenge, developed a solution, and competed with LEGO-based robots of their own design. Regional competition took place at Deep Run High School on November 3rd and both teams won First Place for Project! Check out the photos  HERE .

All Saints Day Mass & El Dia de Los Muertos
October 31st and November 1st  are important days for All Saints. Not only did we host our annual spook-tacular Trunk-or-Treat on Halloween, the next day was "our day" -- All Saints Day, which we celebrated with a special Mass and Day of the Dead observance. See photos from Halloween  HERE  and from All Saints Day  HERE

KINDNESS!
Fostering the virtues of kindness and acceptance is a high priority at All Saints! Since school opened we have  kicked-off our middle school Speak Up Club,  started a Kindness Club for first and second graders, participated in the Prejudice Awareness Summit and Net Ministries Retreat. And on October 24th, the entire student body wore orange to support kindness and acceptance for National Unity Day. Check out more photos HERE

The Knights Circle recognizes those who have supported All Saints with a substantial financial gift (1,000 and up within a fiscal year).  The All Saints mascot is the Knight.  A Knight is an elite warrior sworn to uphold the values of faith, loyalty, courage, and honor; they were the entrusted defenders of the kingdom.  We look to the members of the Knights Circle as our entrusted "defenders" of our mission. There are currently 106 households who are a part of the Knights Circle. See the full list HERE. This number of donors and the significance of their gifts are the very backbone of a sustainable future for All Saints. We are very grateful for our Knights Circle members!

Each fall, we celebrate the Knights Circle with a reception. We are very grateful to Margaret and Jerry Keightley for hosting this year's reception - especially when the storms of Hurricane Michael delayed the reception and left them without electricity! Thank you!

State Tax Credit Program filing by December 1st
We have recently learned that the government department that processes the State Tax Credit program (EISTC)  will be short-staffed  until 2019. The d epartment  has indicated that they cannot guarantee that paperwork filed after December 15th will be processed in this tax year. We are being even more cautious and asking EISTC donors to file by December 1st to ensure a smooth process, especially if using stock or credit card. EISTC donors will still have until 12/31 to make their gift.  Please do not hesitate to contact Alyssa McBride if you have any questions about an EISTC pledge or the process:

Want to learn more about this program which provides a 65% state tax credit to donors and needed scholarships toAll Saints students?
