New Castle Presbytery Congo Partnership: Where New Mission Vision Builds Hope
Sunday, November 11, 10:10 a.m.
in Classroom 6
Did you know that New Castle Presbytery has restructured to be more focused on mission? And that Westminster is one of several churches of the NCP Congo Partnership, working together to build hope, strengthen relationships and empower the people in Congo? Congolese experience widespread poverty, but their land is rich in natural resources, they flee warfare and suffer oppressive government, but are bound in deep-rooted faith and share unbound hospitality. Come join us in Classroom 6 and hear how our partnership churches are sharing experiences, hopes and dreams while supporting one another in Christ across distance, time zones and cultures.

Get a New LED Light Bulb!
Sunday, November 11
As announced in the October/November issue of The Westminster Chimes, we will have a bulb exchange in Community Hall this Sunday, November 11, at 10:10 a.m. Bring in an old incandescent (tungsten) bulb and the Earth Care Task Force will give you a new LED warm white bulb. LEDs are energy-saving, so much so that it is better to throw out your old incandescent bulbs now rather than wait for them to burn out. We have 120 of the non-dimmable LED bulbs, 60-watt and 100-watt equivalent, and we want to give all of them away!
"Girl Talk" Book Group
Thursday, November 15, 10:00 a.m. in the Ruth Christie Room
For our November meeting we will talk about Sarah McBride's book, Tomorrow Will Be Different: Love, Loss, and the Fight for Trans Equality. Many of you have met Sarah, some of you have heard her speak at Westminster, and now we are reading her book for our monthly meeting. What a timely book for us to share! Join us, please. Note the change of date from the 2nd Thursday to the 3rd Thursday due to the Bazaar.
Book Discussion - "So You Want to Talk About Race"
Thursday, November 15, 6:30 p.m.
in the Ruth Christie Room
Discussion facilitator Sue Frost invites you to join us for what promises to be a fascinating discussion of "So You Want To Talk About Race," written by Ijeoma Oluo, a Seattle-based writer and speaker. Oluo is an exceptional writer with a rare ability to be straightforward, funny, and effective in her coverage of sensitive, hyper-charged issues in America. This book is a timely addition to our ongoing series of "Let's Talk About It" conversations on Sunday mornings. You need not have read the (whole) book in order to participate in the discussion. We look forward to seeing you!

For those who wish to join the Westminster congregation, there will also be an opportunity to do so at the end of the second session. Questions? Contact the Rev.
