This year's Legislative Session has come with new challenges as lawmakers have been tasked to deal with the state's most pressing problems including the impact Covid-19 has had on the state's budget. Budget considerations in both chambers will be underway shortly and at this time, both chambers have proposed cuts to higher education.

This week we had several leaders from USF in Tallahassee advocating for our budgetary and policy issues, including President Currall and Student Body President, Claire Mitchell. They had many key meetings including the Senate President and Speaker of the House.

We have a few weeks left of this legislative session and appreciate the support of our Bulls Advocates! There are so many reasons to be proud to be a Bull and you can find updates about the great work going on at USF here.

If you would like to advocate for USF regarding this year's budget allocations, there is still time to contact your legislators. You can find their contact information here.
