December Book Review Breakfast

GOING STRONG for 35 years!


AAUW Vero Beach:  The 35 th  Season of Book Review Breakfasts, always FREE and open to the public, continues Monday, December 2nd, from 9:30 to 11 am at the Richardson Center, IRSC Campus, Vero Beach. A continental breakfast will be offered. Advertising & Marketing executive, former US Navy Ginie Meadows will review Simple Abundance: Daybook of Comfort and Joy by Sarah Ban Breathnach.
Donations of new or used Pre-K books are appreciated for our Little Free Libraries.

We're looking for some AAUW angels willing to help with Book Review Breakfasts.

What's needed? Making or buying and bringing the food, arranging for the beverages, setting up and taking down the buffet or donating money toward the food purchases.

Congratulations to longtime member, Dr. Juanita N. Baker, on her stunning artistic book, Florida Birds Exposed, Introducing Florida Birds, published by Pelican Island Audubon Society (PIAS).
Thanks to member Dr. Jacqueline Jacobs for her wonderful book review of The Tenth Muse. She recently had three of her stories accepted for publication in the South Florida Poetry Journal, in their storytelling section
Condolences to Birgitta Byers and her family. At Hospice House on October 10 th Gordon L.E. Byers, age 53, lost his battle with cancer.  The son of Birgitta and Dr. Gordon E. Byers, he was a graduate of Vero Beach High School and Florida Atlantic University where he graduated Summa  Cum Laude.
