American Job Center in Southwest Connecticut is NOW Opened to the public. Due to the continuing pandemic, the number of people in each center must be limited to allow for social distancing. You must first schedule an appointment to visit an AJC.

FREE Interactive S.T.E.M event for Girls
Girls, grades 4th-8th grade on an interactive- hands-on S.T.E.M forensic science cookie crime. Someone took the cookies..but WHO? 

This S.T.E.M will be IN PERSON and girls will meet women who are in S.T.E M fields. These women will help girls solve the mystery with STEM. 

This event is FREE. All STEM supplies are FREE and will be provided to girls on the day of the event. Snacks will also be provided for every girl that participates. 

Every girl that wants to participate MUST register by April 24th, 2021. Girls MUST wear their masks and arrive on time for the event. 

Seating/Spots are limited for this event due to COVID so please register ASAP! You don't want to miss this fun event.

Bridgeport Dept. of Public Health discontinues use of J&J vaccine
Bridgeport Department of Public Health will stop administering doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after it was announced the drug is being investigated for reports of rare but potentially dangerous blood clots, Mayor Joe Ganim announced today. 
“Safety and confidence in the vaccine is paramount," Ganim said in a statement. "Unless, or until we are 100% confident in the J & J vaccine, we will pause its use.”
Ganim says the city will be working closely with the state and health officials for further advisement while Bridgeport’s DPH clinics continue to administer the Moderna vaccine.
