Returning to Campus in September (your input is needed!)
As discussed in last weekend’s worship services, the HFUMC COVID team has approved the addition of some limited in-person small groups to begin convening this fall. These offerings will include the launch of an on-campus Sunday night youth program (beginning Aug 30), confirmation class (beginning September 13), and some smaller discipleship groups/Bible studies (also launching the week of September 13). Learn more about the adult offerings in the video below.
These preliminary discipleship offerings will follow the same safety protocols as congregational worship, including physical distancing, safe traffic flows, sanitizer stations, and facial coverings. The team hopes that these initial group offerings will allow each age group at HFUMC some additional connecting points for fellowship and discipleship while using our smaller groups as a pilot for the eventual phased-in return of larger in-person discipleship offerings (like Sunday School) as safety conditions allow. Virtual offerings for worship and groups will continue to be offered in conjunction with these added groups.
All HFUMC worshipers are encouraged to be in prayer for our COVID team and to participate in our SURVEY for Sunday Groups & Kids Offerings as future on-campus offerings are considered in light of CDC and community safety standards.
