Where Are You Getting
Your Thanksgiving Pie?
|
Everyone needs a pie for Thanksgiving, so why not make yours a
Pie in the Sk
y pie that benefits Community Servings! Pies are baked and donated by Boston's most generous kitchens and each pie sold provides a week's worth of meals to a critically ill neighbor.
And, thanks to our friends at ScrubaDub, you'll receive a FREE car wash when you make a Pie for a Client donation.

Double Your Impact Today!

Thanks to The Manton Foundation, we have the chance to raise $1 million towards our
Food is the Foundation
Campaign! If we can raise $500,000 by December 31st, The Manton Foundation will match with a $500,000 gift – but ONLY if we can reach our goal before the end of the year. We're getting close, but we need your support today.

Squash Toast with Ricotta
|
|
|
This sweet and tangy combination of delicata squash cooked with onions, maple syrup, and cider vinegar is the quintessential fall appetizer or snack. Use real maple syrup (not imitation pancake syrup) in this recipe or substitute with honey.
Not only is this recipe delicious, it's approved by Community Servings' dietitians! They recommend this recipe because it contains 10% of your daily potassium intake in just one serving! Potassium is important for heart health because it offsets the amount of sodium you eat. Other good sources of potassium are potatoes, bananas, kiwis, oranges, leafy greens, milk, and yogurt.

David Hollis, a graduate from our Teaching Kitchen job training program, competed in more.Boston’s Sous Chef Slam at America’s Test Kitchen recently! David and his co-chefs (Top Chef finalist Chris Scott his wife, and a fellow Teaching Kitchen grad, Divine Lee) prepared three spectacular dishes: a Creole-style deconstructed niçoise salad, shrimp and grits with fried pancetta, and a brownie with raspberry sauce. #chefintraining
