Don't miss this family favorite event from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at The Cove School. Along with dishes brought by you, our Cove families, enjoy entertainment by KidzMagic Magician Andrew. In addition to a dish, we encourage families to bring new, unwrapped toys for the student council's Toys for Tots drive.

Our annual book fair will also be taking place during the event, and we encourage readers of all ages to explore the wide array of great books

DON'T FORGET TO ENCOURAGE OUR EARLY MORNING MEDITATION  


Elementary and junior high students arriving at Cove before 8:30 AM are invited to participate  in Early Morning Drop-In Meditation. STUDENT COUNCIL "TOYS FOR TOTS" DRIVE

The Junior High Student Council is collecting toys to give to the U.S. Marines' "Toys for Tots" program, which collects and delivers toys for needy children. STUDENT COUNCIL COAT DRIVE
Now Through End of December

VETERAN'S DAY ASSEMBLY
Monday, November 12

Cove will be hosting a school-wide Veterans Day assembly at 9:00 AM. The Student Council will lead the pledge and the choir will be performing. Families welcome. 
BOOK FAIR 
Monday, November 12 to Thursday, November 15

All are welcome to the Scholastic Book Fair, an annual reading event that brings the books kids want to read right to Cove School. COMMUNITY DAY AT CALIFORNIA PIZZA KITCHEN 
Monday, November 19

PARENT-TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parent-teacher conferences will be going on from 8 AM to 8 PM on Monday and 8 AM to 4 PM on Tuesday.  High School students are expected to attend their conferences.  There will be no school for students these days, as well as the rest of the week.

There are activities for all interests, including mathematics, robotics, homework help, sports, music and so much more. Please note that parents are responsible for arranging transportation home from after school programs. Students and families are invited to the BEST (Business and Education for Students in Transition) Resource Fair for students with special needs, their parents/guardians and professionals from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Niles North High School. TWENTY-ONE SENSES SURVEY 
One of our Cove families is gearing up to start a new resource for sensory-sensitive kids. They're currently in the market research stage and have offered to donate $1 to Cove for each survey filled out by our families at TwentyOneSenses.org/Cove. SPECIAL GIFTS THEATRE PROGRAMS 

Students are invited to participate in the Fall programs put on by Special Gifts Theatre, an education and therapeutic theatre organization with locations in Winnetka, Chicago, Palatine and Libertyville for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities ranging in age from 10 years and older.
