Honors Chumash Parsha Presentations
|
|
In Honors Chumash, each student gets a turn to prepare a
"Parsha Presentation."
Aside from a quick review of the main points and a selected classical commentary, the students choose a creative third piece. Given choice and voice, students can create a "
Parsha Playlist,
" focus on an art piece, fashion an "
Escape the Room,
" analyze a Midrash, or read a modern approach to an issue in the Parsha.

From the desk of our
S.T.E.A.M. Lab
This week in STEAM we began our fall unit. We are practicing our early math skills as we sit down to learn in patterns. We looked into why seasons happen and how the earth's axis and orbit influence the seasons. We learned that more sunlight means warmer days and less sunlight means colder days. We saw how the sun's light touches the earth during different seasons. We discussed why fall is considered a season of change and looked at what kinds of changes we can see happening. Each class then took part in creating a different tool for our STEAM weather station, which can now be found outside of the STEAM classroom.
