Did you know that woman-owned businesses in the U.S. support nearly 9 million jobs and generate annual revenues of $1.6 trillion? Furthermore, nearly 8 out of 10 new woman-owned business launched since 2007 were started by women of color!

Concessions International & H&H Hospitality Open Shake Shack

Shake Shack is now open in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta (ATL) International Airport, Concourse A near Gate 28. The long-awaited Shake Shack is a joint venture between AMAC members, Concessions International and H&H Hospitality, an Atlanta Airport Concessions Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (ACDBE).

PSP ACDBE Goals - Non-Rental Cars and Rental Cars

Palm Springs International Airport's overall goal for concessions other than car rental during the period beginning October 1, 2018 and ending September 30, 2021 is 4.6%. The goal is expressed as a percentage of the total estimated gross receipts for concessions at Palm Springs International Airport.

The Airport Business Top 40 Under 40 showcases top talent and leading thinkers in the aviation industry who are building success today and innovations for the future. Candidates for 2018 were vetted on innovation, outstanding attributes and commitment and involvement in the industry.

LEGISLATIVE UPDATE

Congress Approves 5-Year FAA Reauthorization Bill

The U.S. Senate passed legislation today by a vote 96-3 reauthorizing federal aviation programs. The U.S. House passed its version of the legislation on September 26 by a vote of 398-23. Today's action clears the legislation for signature by the President. The legislation authorizes a total of $96.7 billion in funding for federal aviation programs over five years (FY 2019-2023).

House Approves Bill that Would Regulate Airline Seat Sizes

The government is one step closer to coming up with regulation on minimum seat sizes for airline flights after the House passed the Federal Aviation Administration Reauthorization Act. The legislation would extend funding for the FAA for another five years but also includes provisions that would affect air travelers.
