Humane Society London & Middlesex staff and
volunteers are very busy all year-round helping to
provide care and shelter to 2,000 surrendered,
neglected or mistreated pets in our community.

We wanted to share with you some fun facts about
what it took to care for these 2,000 animals:

  • 4,368 loads of laundry.

  • 718 surgeries performed.

  • 120,000 km travelled.

  • 780 jugs of bleach for cleaning.

  • 1,040 bags of kitty litter used.

  • 70 puppies were adopted.

  • 6,000+ hours of volunteer time.

  • 14,600 meals were served.

  • 120,000 KW were used to power the shelter.

  • 1200 m3 of water was used for drinking and cleaning.

  • 52 bales of hay were eaten.

  • 72,000 latex gloves were used.

  • 7,000 eye drops were administered.

  • 29,200 bowls were hand washed.
