OHASalinaSalina Street From 1940-1980
Help the OHA collect memorabilia

The Onondaga Historical Association (OHA) is asking for your help with an upcoming exhibit, and it could be as simple as checking your closets!  The OHA's goal is to recreate Salina Street in the first floor gallery space, so that visitors can literally stroll down the grand old street when they visit the museum.

From 1940 - 1980, Salina Street in Downtown Syracuse was a bustling, flourishing center of retail with department stores - Deys Brothers, Chappell's, Wells & Coverly, Sibley's and Addis - in close walking proximity. Do you have clothing, boxes, bags or other memorabilia from this era? If you do, the OHA is asking the public to donate or loan items to be part of the Salina Street exhibit, which the museum plans to debut this December.  Artifacts, photographs or even old movie ticket stubs are also welcome.

If you have items that might be of interest, please call 315-428-1864 and ask for Pam, Bob, or Tom.
