An Ohio River Contamination Collaboration
ORSANCO staff recently worked with local state spill response agencies in Huntington, WV to simulate emergency response activity due to potential source water contamination events. Agencies represented included Cabell Co. 911, WVDEP, Cabell-Huntington Health Dept, WV National Guard, Cabell Huntington Hospital, St. Mary's Medical Center, WV Dept of Health & Human Services, WV Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management, and the US Coast Guard. Holy Catfish! Why was the River RED?
ORSANCO recently collaborated with Greater Cincinnati Water Works and Northern Kentucky Water District to conduct a dye study in the Ohio River to help protect drinking water resources and respond to spill events. Click
