We had nice weather!

We shared stories and ideas and watched our community grow.

Indeed, it is, and we want to say thank you to all of you for supporting your Local Yarn Stores.
All of us who work here at The Blue Purl love what we do. We are not here to get rich (though, come on, that would be nice). We are here because we are moved by the beauty of natural fibers; we are inspired by the focus, dedication and talent all of you bring to the craft; and we are buoyed by our community, which has given us so much support during these difficult times. (check out the pictures at the end of the newsletter :)
It has been a wonderful week with a few more great days to look forward to. Please do try to come by, see what we are all about, take the first step to building a relationship with us and our Blue Purl community.
There is plenty in life that you have to do. There is plenty in life that you know you should do.

This is our passion. We believe it is yours, too. It is the basis of our connection.

A few days left to check out Lori Versaci's gorgeous trunk show. We have 20 beautiful pieces of the designer's personal samples to show off. From sweaters, vests, to accessories, you'll have trouble deciding which project to start once you see these in person. It's like picking your favorite child. |

Another of our favorites from Lori Versaci's collection is the Luminous Shawl, a simple wrap using a skein of hand-dyed fingering and mohair lace. We were a little excited by the color possibilities and made kits with Baah La Jolla and Shibui Silk Cloud. You can find the Luminous pattern on Ravelry and the kits are available in store only for WoolWalk. |

We are so fortunate to have Marianated Yarns in all week! Marian is dropping off her trunk show & yarn with us for all of WoolWalk. Her beautiful hand dyes, amazing gradient sets, and loads of special kits (some pictured above) will be with us for the duration of the WoolWalk!

Have you seen Marianated's Madison Colorway? Wow, so much spring blooming in 1 skein of yarn. It works so well with many of her other solid/tonal hand dyes. Make sure to ask us for help finding it if you miss it. |

The collection includes 3 lightweight sweaters and 3 shawls. Our pictures do not do justice to the beautiful texture of all the pieces. Want to be ready for spring? Pinky Promise by Tamy Gore (another Jersey designer) was released last Friday, perfect for the cool spring days & all the trendy high waisted pants. Using a hand dyed fingering held with mohair, this piece is super soft & knits quickly with its short sleeves & short body length.
Tam tested knitted hers with Tosh Merino Light & Shibui Silk Cloud (20% off with WoolWalk passport). We pulled together a few of our favorite spring colors for you to check out. Just in time for all these great knitting ideas- Spun Right Round in fingering and DK weight. If you're not familiar with the brand, Spun Right Round is a small batch dyer based in Rochester, NY.
