PRE-RACE CHECK-IN OPTIONS:
5K participants ONLY
You DO NOT
have to attend an early packet pickup. However, your bib & t-shirt will be available for you if you choose to attend one of the PACKET PICKUPS below. 5K Participants can pick up their bib's and t-shirts near their start line at the Imperial Beach Pier beginning at 5:30 AM.

Pre-Race Check-In Policies:
- It is MANDATORY that all participants BRING THEIR ID to the pre-race packet pickups. We will not be able to give any athlete their bib number without a valid ID.
- You must sign two waivers (links below) to get your event materials.
- Half Marathon and 10 Miler athletes who do not/cannot attend Friday or Saturday's packet pickup will be required to pay a $10 (cash only) late fee on event morning in order to pick up their materials. Late packet pickup on event morning is available starting at 5:30 AM PT at Sunset Park.
If you paid to have your bib mailed back to you, your shirt can be picked up at the finish line festival t-shirt booth.
GEAR CHECK IN:
Half Marathon and 10 Milers Only
We will have a gear check-in area at the start line in Coronado. Look for the big box-truck near the registration area.
Please bring your small backpack or bag to the gear check-in area, you will be asked to label your bag with your
BIB NUMBER on a large tag, alternatively you can drop your bag off more quickly if you mark you bag with masking tape and your bib number at home. Your items will be waiting for you after the finish line on Elder Ave. Please
DO NOT include valuables or medications needed on the run
(Koz Events or the Silver Strand Veterans Day Half Marathon is not responsible for lost items).
To speed up the pre-race check-in process, please print and sign both waivers below:
All registration questions, changes, inquiries, and/or updates MUST OCCUR
in-person at the Pre-Race Packet Pickup on Friday, Saturday, or event morning.
We will not be able to make any changes by email or phone.
This includes: changing event distance, event type, etc. Please report to packet pickup to have any changes made to your registration.

Parking & Getting to the Start Line
Here are the different ways to get to the Half Marathon and 10 Miler Start Line.
Best, Fastest, and Surest Way
Have a friend or family member drop you off near the Start Line at the intersection of Ocean Blvd. and Marina Ave. between 6:00 AM and 6:45 AM. They can drive to the finish area near the Imperial Beach Pier, park in the residential area, and meet you at the finish line. NO 5K'ers will be bused to Imperial Beach where the 5K starts.
All ElliptiGO participants must use this option.
Taking Your Car
For those who paid the Parking Option 1 during registration - please check your confirmation email. The bus shuttle service from Silver Strand State Beach to the start area goes from 5:30 AM until 6:45 AM. There will be approximately 700 parking spaces available. Please get there early, there is no late bus and no refunds if you arrive late. There is also overflow parking at the Coronado Cays.
Carpool, if possible. Shuttles will return you to the parking lot after the race. NO 5K PARTICIPANTS WILL BE BUSED TO IMPERIAL BEACH. NO SPECTATORS WILL BE BUSED TO THE START AREA. Do not wait until the last moment. Late-comers WILL NOT be guaranteed a shuttle to the start line.
Park in Coronado, t
here is limited Free parking (approx. 400 spaces) at the Coronado City Hall 1825 Strand Way, Coronado, CA 92118. It is about 1 mile from the starting line. There will be a bus shuttle at the area after 6:15 AM or you can warm up to the start line (1.7 miles away)
Option 2
For those who selected Option 2 during registration, there will be bus shuttle service from the Imperial Beach Pier to the start for the pre-registered 300 participants only - first come, first serve! The buses will depart from Reama Park on 2nd St. in between Elder and Elkwood beginning at 5:30 AM for the first 250, and at 6:30 AM for the remaining 50. Please plan to arrive at this location by 5:15 AM to ensure you get a seat on the bus. Do not wait to take the 6:30 AM departure or you may be left behind.
If You Arrive Late
Park your car in the residential area near the start line. There will be limited bus service from the finish back to the start after the race.
Return Bus Shuttles
Bus shuttles will return to Silver Strand State Beach and Coronado beginning at 8:45 AM through 11:45 AM. Be sure to hop on an early bus!
Koz Events or the Silver Strand Veterans Day Half Marathon is not responsible for any fines/citations incurred as a result of improperly parked vehicles. Please double-check for any 'no parking signs' before parking your vehicle.
*Remember, it is your responsibility to get to the Starting Line on time!*

After the race enjoy the post-race expo, live Band and for our 21+ participants, enjoy the CAF Fundraising Beer Garden - Refresh with an ice cold Ballast Point Beer. -Please bring a $5 or more cash donation for Challenged Athletes Foundation to the Beer Garden. If you would like to make to make a larger donation to CAF and you would like a receipt, Bring a check with you made out to CAF to the Beer Garden.

Understanding the risks of hep C
About 3.4 million people in the U.S. are living with chronic hep C.
Because most people don't experience symptoms, many don't even know they have it. And over time, hep C can lead to scarring of the liver (also called cirrhosis). That's why getting tested is so important.
