Provider Spotlight
David Connell
David Connell,
Doctor of Dental Surgery

David Connell specializes in general/family dentistry and has been with KCHC since 2010.

"A lot of people don’t realize that taking good care of your teeth-brushing, flossing and seeing a dentist regularly-really impacts your overall health. Many in our community don’t have transportation or funds to get their teeth cleaned or repaired. I enjoy improving my patients’ quality of life through better oral health," Dr. Connell said. "There is a great need for dental services in the Kenosha area and all of us at KCHC are dedicated to helping meet that need. I’m fortunate to work with a great team of dentists, hygienists and assistants."

KCHC Awarded Opioid Grant

KCHC is eager to expand much-needed access to substance use disorder and mental health services in Kenosha County with federal funding. These funds will be used to support work that has already begun at KCHC to increase access to substance use disorder and mental health services through an integrated model of care and by adding Medication Assistant Treatment for opioid addiction. This funding will allow KCHC to meet additional regulatory requirements that will allow our facility to begin providing these services, with a goal to begin providing MAT services by late spring of 2019.

Leroy Butler Visit
Leroy Butler Visit
The KCHC partnered with Anthem to bring Leroy Butler to Bullen Middle school and Hilcrest school to motivate them to achieve all their goals.

Leroy spoke about how he was bullied because he was a kid in a wheelchair. He wasn’t the smartest kid in school.

When his mother asked the kids what they wanted to be when they grew up, he said a football player. Even though his siblings laughed at him because he was in a wheelchair, he mother told him different. His mother told him that he had to work harder than the others.

"It was inspiring for me coming from a healthcare industry. I know children have health related conditions making them second guess themselves to trying new things." — Ahmad Landrum
