COLD WEATHER CLOTHING
|
When there is unseasonably cold weather in Tampa the dress code is altered. If it is below 60 degrees when you leave the house, students are permitted to wear cold weather clothing. This includes: jeans or sweatpants, sweatshirts, and boots (no glitter please). Please remember this is
not free dress.
Please see below for guidelines:
Jeans: no torn or ripped jeans please.
Sweatpants: plain or athletic (no words) navy, burgundy, white, black, gray with no writing.
Sweatshirts: solid navy, burgundy, white, black or gray sweatshirts may be worn with or without the FOC logo. They may have a small quarter sized emblem (ie. Nike swoosh) but may not have wording (other than the FOC logo, ie, no college or sports teams) across the front.
Sweaters: solid navy, burgundy, white, black or gray sweatshirts may be worn. (No glitter or flowers)
Winter Coats/Jackets: any color may be worn outside only. All jackets and coats worn inside must be solid navy, burgundy, white, black or gray. Students typically wear their sweatshirts inside and their coats/jackets outside.
Boots: navy, burgundy, white, black, gray, and brown (no glitter) mid-calf boots may be worn only on cold winter days. No lace-up boots. On PE days, students must wear athletic shoes
- All clothing needs to fit appropriately. Not too tight or too loose.
Need a school approved sweatshirt? We have new sweatshirts available at the school office or gently used ones in the clothes closet.
*Students tend to all wear the same sweatshirts and remove them at lunch time on the playground when the weather warms up. Please put your child's initials on the inside tag.
Students should wear uniform tops under their sweatshirts except on Friday. They can wear spirit shirts on Friday.
