Your East Kentucky Chapter has a lot of fun events planned for the rest of the year. Join your colleagues and take advantage of all your AIA membership offers, including, social events full of networking and fellowship and intriguing CEU seminars!

CANstruction 2019

The CANstruction Lexington build day will occur on November 19th at the Lexington Center downtown from 8:00am - 4:00pm. Come and cheer on the teams as they construct their design entries.

CANstruction designs will be on display from 11/19/19 to 12/9/19, with DeCANstruction occurring on 12/9.

AIA EKC Annual Meeting & Holiday Party

This year's AIA EKC Annual Meeting and Holiday Party will be held in the newly renovated Black Box Theater of the Pam Miller Downtown Arts Center (141 E. Main St - Lexington, KY 40507) on Wednesday, December 4th from 6:30 - 9:00pm.

The evening will include our annual business meeting, year-in-review, election of new officers/directors, recognition of newly licensed architects and also feature our CANstruction Awards Presentation. Heavy hors d'oeuvres and cocktails will be provided throughout the night from Saul Good / DV8 Kitchen while EKC Members and Allied Members have an opportunity to mingle and discuss our industry.

Professor David Biagi (1959-2019)

AIA EKC extends our sincere condolences to the many family, friends and colleagues who were saddened by the recent loss of David Biagi, an internationally recognized architect and full professor at the University of Kentucky. Biagi passed away on October 20 - just days after a collection of his works from graduate school were acquired by the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York City.
