The annual
Country Christmas festivities in Liberty are set for
Tuesday, November 27 at the City of Liberty Municipal Complex. The City of Liberty is again sponsoring the parade this year, which starts at 6 p.m.. If you'd like to place an entry in the parade contact April at the City of Liberty (936.336.3684) or you can download and complete the
2018 Country Christmas Parade Form on our website at libertydaytonchamber.com (under "Forms & Documents").
Country Christmas in
Dayton is scheduled for
Thursday, November 29 with activities held at First Baptist Church (Dayton) beginning at 6 p.m. No parade will take place at this event. The church is located at 202 E. Houston Street, near the intersection of Hwy. 90 and 1409 South.

City of Liberty has provided the latest demographic and retail trade data for our area, assembled by The Retail Coach. Based in Austin, Texas The Retail Coach is "
a national retail consulting, market research and development firm" that offers a
"fully customized system of products and services that better enable communities to maximize their retail development potential".

The Chamber held a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, October 31st in recognition of Walmart's new personal shopper and online grocery service. Customers can now order groceries at
walmart.com/grocery, reserve a pick-up time and have a personal shopper (provided free of charge) select and load their items at the store. Walmart can be reached locally in Liberty at 936.336.5601.

RECEPTION FOR DAVID CASTLE
First Liberty National Bank will host a retirement reception honoring David Castle on Friday, November 16th from 9 a.m. - 12 noon at 1900 Sam Houston Street in Liberty. David Castle serves as Executive Vice President, Deposit Services Manager for FLNB, and will retire at the end of the year.

- Liberty Street Rally (Cars, Coffee & More) on the square in Downtown Liberty. Meets on the 2nd Saturday of the month (weather permitting), 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. See classic cars, hot rods, motorcycles and more.
- Coffee with the Mayor. Held the third Thursday of each month. Citizens of Liberty are invited to have coffee with Mayor Carl Pickett and City Manager Tom Warner in the council chambers of City Hall. This is an opportunity to discuss ideas or projects or to voice any concerns citizens may wish to express. 936.336.3684.
