2020 State Conference Update
We are experiencing a unique and challenging time in our communities right now. Most of us are having to make difficult decisions right along with our government officials. First, I want to encourage you with the Truth of God’s word. In John 14:27, Jesus says to his disciples “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” He offers us peace but asks us to make a choice to keep ourselves calm rather than anxious and faith-filled rather than fearful.

As you are making tough decisions for your programs, I wanted to give you an update on our planning for the summer, as well. We are still moving ahead with two State conferences (Austin in July and McKinney in August) and praying and believing that our social distancing restrictions will be lifted by then. As you begin planning for next year, remember that high-quality, faith-based training is going to be vital as you kick off a new year and begin to rebuild relationships with staff and families. Well-trained staff will always set your program apart from the rest as you care for young children. We will, of course, continue to monitor state and national recommendations and do everything necessary to keep you and your staff safe and healthy as we train this summer.

Mary Ann and I are praying for you. We are praying for your wisdom and courage during this time. We are praying for your families, both personal and school. We’re praying that the Lord would be glorified and this would be a great opportunity for weekday programs to show the love of Christ on a large scale to families who are anxious and fearful. The times are hard, but we serve a God who is faithful to keep his promises. As you find ways to show His love to your community, would you share with us?

Blessings,
