Dear BFCCPS Community,
By now you should all have received an invite to the
Conference Sign Up
software, Teeso. All families received a new login and password through a SchoolBrains alert; we
encourage you to test your login information;
conference registrations will begin on October 30th.
You will visit
http://www.teeso.com/bfccps/
to select a conference day and time.
Each family has one username and password. Your username is the email address we have listed in SchoolBrains for Parent 1. Your password is the cell phone number we have listed in SchoolBrains for Parent 1. Please use the following format when inputting your password: (123) 456-7890. You should use a space in between the parentheses after the area code, and the next three digits. If you are having trouble with your password you can use the “Forgot Password” option. Regardless of whether or not you have used Teeso in the past, you can enter your email address and a link will be sent to you to create a new password.
- Conferences will be held starting on 11/16 for students in Grades Five through Eight.
- Conferences will also be available on 11/19 and 11/20 for students in Kindergarten through Grade Eight.
Babysitting services
will be available during your scheduled conferences on Monday from 1pm to 7pm, and on Tuesday from 9am to 2pm in the BFCCPS Auditorium for $10 per family for children ages 5 and up. Proceeds will benefit the upcoming Grade 7 Quebec Trip.
Report Cards
will be published to the SchoolBrains Portal on November 15th. It is important that you review your child(ren)'s report card in advance of your parent/teacher conferences. If you need help logging into your account please contact

Operation Gratitude: Candy Collection
|
|
With the help of the community we collected over 300 pounds of candy to donate to Operation Gratitude. A special thanks to Kate J. And Matt M. for helping collect candy in the mornings and Mr. Marcou for delivering the candy for shipping.

BFCCPS is excited to commence our enrollment season for the 2019-2020 School Year!
In accordance with state regulations, siblings who are on the waiting list must re-apply annually
to confirm their interest in sending their student to BFCCPS.
If you have a child eligible for enrollment in the 2019-2020 school year, now is the time to place an application! We also encourage all BFCCPS Families to share the news with friends and neighbors who might be interested in enrollment at BFCCPS.
Applications
are accepted from November 1, 2018 through February 27, 2019 at 4pm. You can apply online, print and mail an application, or stop by our office for a copy of a printed application.

Our Annual French Week celebration is coming soon!
French week- Tuesday, Nov. 13- Friday, Nov.16, 2018. It is that time of the year to celebrate French language and culture, since we teach French from Kindergarten to Grade 8. We know that students, parents, faculty and teachers look forward to “La Semaine Française.” Vive Le Français!
This year’s theme:
La France Au-Delà des Frontières (France Beyond Its Borders) We will look at the presence of France outside its borders and its impact on our life. The message that we want to bring is that we are all interconnected. No country can survive on its own. We need each other and that what makes our planet special.

Santa Foundation - All School Community Service

The Central Office Team is working behind the scenes to organize our Annual Whole School Community Service with the
Santa Foundation

Working together we can make the holidays so much brighter for families in need in our area. Shopping lists will be published on November 13th if you'd like to participate. Please know that your participation in this effort is entirely voluntary, but always appreciated. We thank you in advance for any support that you're able to provide.

The Benjamin Franklin Classical Charter Public School Parent Community Organization (PCO) is an all-volunteer parent organization that supports our school by organizing and funding educational and social programs that enrich student experiences and foster a sense of community among all families and staff.

Spring Family Social - WE NEED YOU!

For many students, the Spring Family Social is a highlight of the school year. We have a great team in place for this year's event on Friday March 15th, however we are still looking for someone to take the lead. If you are a good at coordinating a variety of of moving pieces, then please consider stepping up. This event is not only a great social event, but is also the PCO's biggest fundraiser. will hold a clothing donation drive for Meals on Wheels from October 22 through November 9th.

will hold a Food Drive for the Franklin Food Pantry starting on October 29th through November 2nd. No one should go hungry. Please help me support people that are in need. Donate canned food, cereal, boxes of pasta, mac n’ cheese and more. All donations will go to the Franklin Food Pantry.

will be selling Key Chains to benefit his Capstone project from November 1 through November 16.

Notes from the Central Office

Visitors:
All visitors to the school are required to sign in at the Front Office and wear a Visitor's badge. Visitors must be escorted at all times. Thank you for your help with this!
Parking & Parking Lot Safety: Parking is not allowed in marked reserved spots near the schools main entrance. These spots are reserved for the CCD program staff.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
: Please adhere to the posted arrival and dismissal procedures which are posted
here our website.
Absence and Dismissal Notification:
If your child will be absent or tardy from school, please log in to your School Dismissal Manager account and update their daily attendance.
Dismissal Changes:
Dismissal Changes are due to the School Dismissal Manager software by no later than 2 pm.
As a reminder, BFCCPS has an
extended absence policy
which indicates that extended absences for non-medical reasons for more than 10 consecutive school days will not be approved and will result in dis-enrollment from BFCCPS unless caused by exceptional and unavoidable circumstances, such as a natural disaster, serious accident, or other situation deemed exceptional and unavoidable by the HOS.
