This year marks the 40th anniversary of the inception of Solidarność. A trade union and a mass peaceful movement, Solidarity was instrumental in toppling the communist regime in Poland, inspiring democratic change throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
We invite you to watch the Institute of National Remembrance’s tribute to the ordinary people who served as the driving force behind this historic campaign for a democratic Poland.
