District Sports New Bike Repair Station on Trail System

Westchase District recently installed a bicycle repair station along its trail system, just south of Harwin Drive near the exercise equipment.

Built to withstand weather year-round, the station includes all the tools necessary to perform basic bike repairs and maintenance, from changing a flat to adjusting brakes. The tools are securely attached to the stand with stainless steel cables and tamper-proof fasteners. Hanging the bike from the hanger arms allows the pedals and wheels to spin freely while making adjustments. Top off your tires with the air pump and you're ready to explore a five-mile system of off-road trails throughout the District in the fresh fall air.

A special thanks goes to the Westchase District Community Fund for purchasing the repair station.

Outdoor Community Message Board Informs Trail Users

Westchase District keeps property owners, residents, employees and visitors up-to-date via a variety of digital channels, from its website, to its social media channels to email newsletters like this one - but there's nothing quite like an old-fashioned community bulletin board to share information. The District recently erected one on its trail system near the butterfly garden and exercise station located between Rogerdale Road and Walnut Bend Lane.

If you would like to post a message on this board about activities or events occurring in Westchase District, please send an email to Louis Jullien,

Market Adjusts Hours Starting This Week

While Texans gained an hour this past weekend with the end of daylight saving time, the farmers market loses an hour until March 14. Beginning this Thursday, the market will be open from 3 to 6 p.m. But it's not all dark news, your favorite vendors will still be there weekly with fresh, local products ripe for the picking.

Speaking of the passing of time, the farmers market just celebrated its fifth anniversary with cake for vendors and customers alike. During the past 250 weeks, more than 15,000 shoppers have spent about $1.3 million purchasing from local vendors at the market.  Thank you for your support!

After Five: Since 2013, the market has positively impacted the local economy and provided a focal point for building community.
