Meet Our New Staff
Grace Berry - Faith Friends Learning Center Director
gberry@faithumchurch.org

Grace is a native of Akron, Ohio. She graduated from Malone University with a Degree in Public Health and now resides in Canton. Grace previously served as Director of one of the Akron Area YMCA's Child Care Centers. Similar to Faith Friends, the center was also church based and served children toddler age through school age. Grace has a strong passion for children and families. She is very grateful for the opportunity to serve in this role, and looks forward to getting to know the families at Faith Friends. In her spare time, Grace enjoys hiking, camping, working out, gardening, and time with family and friends.

Jessica Dent is leaving FFLC effective May 7, for an exciting opportunity with her family in Richmond, VA. She has been a valued employee and will be greatly missed by staff, parents, children, and Faith's church family. We wish her safe travels and all the best.
John Hartzell - Part time Evening/Sunday Custodian

John began filling in for Butch Ransom in 2018, and has recently been working as our interim part time custodian. He is happy to now be a permanent staff member. John has been a member at Faith United Methodist Church since 2014. He and his wife, Becky, live in North Canton. He has 3 children, 7 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren. He served in the Navy for 4 years, from 1964 to 1968, and then worked for Coca Cola for many years, becoming a plant superintendent. John volunteers in various capacities, including serving as a Stephen Minister, co- chair of our Veterans committee, a member of Trustees, as a cook on Wednesday nights, and drives our bus.
Tim Cline - Part time Evening/Sunday Custodian

Tim has worked in building maintenance for 26 years. His most recent position was at the Stark County Education Center, working in building maintenance and grounds care. He grew up in Stark County and graduated from Glen Oak High School. He has been married to his wife for 37 years, and they have 2 children. In his free time, Tim enjoys working on small engine repair. He loves to buy old lawn mowers, restore them to good working condition, and then give them to people in need. He said that he’s always willing to help someone in need.
If you would like to help us welcome Grace, John, and Tim,
cards can be sent to the church office and will be passed on to them.
