Make your reservation now at the 2018 Festival hotel

The Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn, NY is once again the official 2018 TANYS Festival hotel. Located at 74 State Street, the Hilton Garden Inn will be the site of the Friday night Afterglow and Saturday night Festival Banquet.


TANYS has reserved a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn, and negotiated a special room rate of $99 per night for the 2018 TANYS Festival (November 16-18). Reservations may be made by calling the Front Desk, (315) 252-5511 or online at www.Auburn.HGI.com .

When making reservations, provide your arrival date, departure date, and the Group Code / Special Rate Code TANY18. Available rooms are limited, so you are encouraged to make your reservations as early as possible. Don't delay! Reservations must be made no later than FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 9 to get the discounted room rate!

Please note: All rooms are subject to tax. Tax exempt status is only granted to reservations where the non-profit organization is paying for the rooms and the organization is tax exempt. If your theater company is paying for your accommodations, rooms must be registered under the company name and a tax-exempt form must be provided at time of registration.

#NYGivesDay

On November 27, TANYS will join organizations across New York State to participate in the second annual #NYGivesDay, a 24-hour online fundraising challenge to celebrate nonprofits throughout New York State.


Developed and hosted by the New York Council of Nonprofits (NYCON) and United Way of New York State, #NYGivesDay occurs in tandem with #GivingTuesday, the global day of giving that takes place the Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Now in its seventh year, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving, and serves as a counterbalance to the consumer frenzy of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

An important note on fundraising: TANYS is aware that some people have received scam fundraising emails that appear to come from TANYS. We do NOT use GoFundMe or similar online platforms to ask for donations. If you receive an email asking for a donation to what looks like a GoFundMe campaign, check the underlying sender email address, and do NOT send money or provide your financial information. Now's the time to renew your membership for 2019! (Or join TANYS if you've never been a member.) Your membership helps support the efforts of TANYS, and provides BENEFITS for you individually and for your theatre company:
  • Individual TANYS members are eligible for discounted Festival registrations, access to the TANYS Lending Library, voting at membership meetings, and more.
  • Organizational TANYS members are eligible to receive adjudications and Roving Adjudicator Merit Awards, be invited to participate at Festival, submit promotional items to TANYS E-News, the Callboard newsletter, the TANYS Facebook page, and more. NOTE: A company must be an Organizational member of TANYS to request an adjudication or submit promotional items.
