IPUL's E-News: November 15, 2019
Here are the highlights of our recent activity online. Not all everything is included due to timeliness. If an advertised event already took place, we've left it off.
We Want Your News and Events!
If you have news, information or upcoming events in your hometown that are relevant to families who have children with disabilities or special health care needs and would like us to share that information, please email the details to parents@ipulidaho.org for review.

Our program coordinator will then share this via IPUL's social media networks. We are also happy to add events to our calendar for people to find.
Inclusion in Action
We started the week by sharing this great story:

A high school senior performed the national anthem in American Sign Language ahead of his homecoming game in Kuna, Idaho.  #ProudAmerican
Congratulations, Ali!
Our IPUL Arts teaching artist Ali Landers received this wonderful award for her work promoting accessibility and inclusion in the world of dance and beyond. Way to go  Ali Landers #Pivot
I’m so incredibly touched & grateful to receive such an amazing award for starting Pivot ! I’ve been teaching dance for those who need support in our community for over 9 years & yoga for 4, and never got appreciated for my work from my co-workers/ organizations I was with. It feels soo good to FINALLY be seen!! My well goes very deep and is so full of creative beauty. Thank you for seeing that! To all the moms, families & friends who support me. This award is for all your loving support!! 💗💞❤️🦄🙏  #youmatter   #youbelong   #embracewhatmakesyouunique   #youmakeadifference   #adaptivelove   #danceisforeveryone

Statewide Training for November -
Rights and Responsibilities: Resolving Disagreements
updated flyer
Due to unforeseen circumstances we had to postpone our monthly training by one week - everything else is the same, but we are holding this training on Wednesday the 20th of November, not Wednesday the 13th as originally planned. We look forward to seeing you there, and apologize for any inconvenience.
----------
Disagreements happen. But conflict is not  always  a bad thing - it can be constructive. Having a plan to work through it can provide opportunities for everyone to be heard and understood, and improve strained interactions. This training will look at using the least adversarial approach to manage disagreements over how best to help your child, improving relationships for the long term.
