Update on Student Computer Monitoring Update
While we have put in place many different measures to ensure the safety of our students while using Denville accounts and/or devices, there is still the chance that your children can bypass these measures.  It has come to our attention that some children have been able to do this.  Please click here to see the letter that was previously disseminated as well as links to our acceptable use policy and regulation.

Transportation Update
Due to a shortage of school bus drivers, the Denville Board of Education is investigating outsourcing some of our routes for in-district and out of district runs. We will continue to keep the public aware of the situation.
We are featuring a different school each week to keep you updated on events and happenings  throughout  the district.  Please check your individual school's Friday Folders for school specific events.

Our books have arrived!! WE are so excited to begin reading our One School One Book, Poppy by Avi. One School One Book is a literacy program where everyone reads the same book at the same time to foster the love of reading. The teachers coordinate their schedules so classes keep pace with one another. This fosters discussions among all grade levels. WE can't wait to get started.

Lakeview hosted its 25th Annual Veteran's Day Ceremony on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 10:00 am. We welcomed over 100 Veterans and guests. Our ceremony began in our All-Purpose Room with a patriotic program of songs, readings and slides. This portion of the program is presented by the 4th and 5th grade ending with a traditional instrumental rendition of Taps at 11:00 am.

Immediately following the ceremony, our PTA provides our honored guests with a well-deserved luncheon, giving the Veteran's the opportunity to say hello to a familiar face and reminisce with their peers, colleagues and friends. Once finished, our guests are encouraged to visit various classrooms throughout the day to teach the students about what it is to be a Veteran.

Honoring Veterans has been a focal point of Lakeview's pride for twenty- five years. Each year, the students, staff and community members all work together in the hopes of making sure the Veterans of our country see the thanks and appreciation that they deserve. We at Lakeview School are very proud to say we have the honor and privilege to pay homage and respect to Veterans and instill this passion in our students.
Our Trunk and Treat was a huge success. The students had a wonderful time trick 'r treating last Friday afternoon in Lakeview School's parking lot. A special thank you to the A.R Spinola PTA for sponsoring this wonderful event and to Miss Witte and Mr. Scala who judged the cars. All the cars looked "spook"-tacular! The students loved participating in our annual Halloween parade and their costumes were amazing. A great time was had by all! Thank you for coming and sharing in the festivities.
Please remember to check the Friday Folders for important school events and information.
