New technologies awarded top winner of HIT Foundation competition

Arcun Tanju
President
Home Helpers & Direct Link of Walnut Creek

At present, Home Helpers  provides in-home non-medical home care services and personal emergency monitoring services through the Internet of Things (IoT) devices to its clients. New technologies hold tremendous potential for developing new services for seniors. We envisioned a system to encourage seniors to digitize their health data so that they can benefit from the new preventive services. Tokenization of digital health data will reduce the overall cost of healthcare. This project was presented in Digital Health Forum in Zurich in September 2018 and awarded as the top winner of HIT Foundation competition. To read the article, click here.

#WhatWouldYouDo
A rewarding volunteer opportunity

The
Chamber's Education Committee  will pose this question to a group of middle school students on Wednesday, December  5 from 9:00 a.m. to noon. This unique experience offers direct interaction between students, business leaders, educators, and government officials as they ask each other "What Would You Do?" to a series of timely case studies in right and wrong. We are looking for business leaders to facilitate the conversation. If you are interested in participating, contact  Nicky Henzie at 934-2007 or  [email protected]
