Thanks to Councilman Bob Coffin, Rosemary Flores and many talented entertainers, vendors and support staff .  God gave us perfect weather for the event.  Thank you Rosemary Flores for inviting us to be a part of this wonderful occasion again this year.    We support Waking Up As One Nation as a way to practice interfaith and multicultural dialogue to instill a sense of tolerance among all people.

A Report on Badlands From The Nevada Independant

The Badlands  controversy is taking too much time away from City staff.

It is costing Ward 5 taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars.

When will Ward 5 become a priority?  If developers are spending all of their money in the suburbs, then that is where City staff will spend their time.  This is expected.

The question then is , " What will it take for developers to invest in Ward 5, particularly the Historic WestSide?  If Item 50 the Golf Course/Open Space Ordinance passes on Wednesday, it will send a negative message to developers and development in the City of Las Vegas. Ward 5 can't afford any bad messaging for development.

Queensridge is full of very rich people. They took their fight to the City and  it is taking tons of  City Staff time. Let Councilman Cedric Crear know we want City staff working for us in Ward 5 for our community. Cedric has demonstrated a sincere desire to uplift the Historic Westside.

Vote NO on Item 50.
