Winter Sports Tryout Information
Tryouts for Winter Sports are as follows:
- Cheerleading: November 19-24 from 4-5:30
- Boys Basketball: November 18-20 from 5:30-7
- Girls Basketball: November 21-22 from 4-5:30
Middle School Athletic Forms need to be completed once in a school year and are submitted in paper form, not online. If a student completed them for a fall sport or fall try-outs, they do not need to be submitted again. All students must have a copy of the physical form on file before they can try out for a sport. There are copies of the Athletic Forms in the front office if a student needs a copy, and they are to be returned to the main office. For more information, visit

Field Partnership Announcement
The Bulldog Club of AGMS is pleased to announce that we have entered into a trial partnership with The Barca Soccer Club of Charlotte. This partnership mirrors similar partnerships between local CMS schools and private youth sports organizations. In exchange for the use of the main field at AG, the soccer club will contribute significant money to the on-going maintenance of both the main field and the baseball/softball outfield. Among many other things, this maintenance includes winter rye grass over-seeding which will provide a much better playing surface in the spring for both fields. Barca will use the field after the regular AG team practices are completed and will provide and maintain temporary lighting as needed for their use. They will not use the fields during wet conditions nor on any weekends. AG soccer games and track meets will always have priority for the use of the field.
The Bulldog Club will meet regularly with Barca during the trial period to make any necessary adjustments to the agreement to make sure it’s in the best interest of AG. We are looking forward to a successful partnership and a higher quality of field conditions for all AG students and sports teams.
