The National Breast Cancer Coalition (NBCC) has several legislative priorities for Lobby Day. However, you are not expected to be a policy expert. NBCC-trained Team Leaders will lead the meetings with Virginia's members of Congress or their aides and can answer any questions that arise. Your personal story related to breast cancer and your general support for the NBCC priorities will be a great contribution. In addition, a Lobby Day Briefing will provide an overview of the day and details on the policy issues (see below).

Lobby Day: Tuesday, May 18th, 2021 Appointment times TBD.
We are in the process of making meeting appointments with Virginia legislators. We will meet via video conference or group conference call, therefore, you will need to be comfortable using technology such as Zoom. Please note: While we would like for all of our attendees to meet with their elected officials, we cannot guarantee that each of our legislators will schedule a meeting.
Lobby Day Briefing: May 17th, Time TBD
NBCC will host a Lobby Day Briefing on the 2021 legislative priorities on May 17th. In addition, a meeting with Virginia's advocates run by our Virginia Team Leaders will also be held - date TBD

There is no cost to participate in Lobby Day, but you must:
1) Fill out this form to let VBCF Policy Manager, Kirsta Millar know your interest in attending.
2) Register with NBCC by emailing Jessica Francis: jfrancis@stopbreastcancer.org When registering with NBCC, please let Jessica know you are with the VBCF group.
