Magazines (and more!) Drive |
Booklets and letters for the annual Magazines (and more!) Drive will be distributed tomorrow, September 28, with returns accepted October 9-19. Students have the opportunity to sell more than magazines -- j
ewelry, gift wrap, pizzas, cookie doughs, gifts, team cups, and more are also available.
Only magazine subscriptions, nuts, and gifts are available to order online at
http://bit.ly/yorkcatholics;
print the confirmation page, and bring it to school with the rest of your orders. All refrigerated items must be ordered through a student using a paper order form. The perishable items
must be picked up on Wednesday, November 14, from 3-6:30 PM. We cannot store any items not claimed during this time.
Encourage students to contact parents of recent YC graduates to encourage them to renew their magazine subscriptions they purchased in previous years. If you place your order or renewal online, be sure to print the confirmation and submit it with your returns.
Don't forget -- your student can earn up to $2,500 in tuition credit for college! Be sure to review the "Tuition Rewards" flyer in your Magazine (and more) Drive packet for details.
As always, we ask for your help to count and record the returns. No experience is necessary. Training takes less than 15 minutes. If you would like to help, please contact Sheila Gick at
sgick@yorkcatholic.org

In preparation for the colder months ahead, we have updated our "One Call Now" Emergency Notification System. In the event our school schedule is adjusted due to weather, a phone call and an email will be sent to the contact information we have on file.
A text option is also available. If you opted-in to receive text messages last school year, you do not need to do anything additional UNLESS you did not receive a text message when we closed for the heat earlier this month. If you did not receive the heat text message, or if you would like to begin receiving text messages this year, you must "opt-in" to receive text notification.
To do so, text the word ALERT to the number 22300. Do not include any words other than the word ALERT.
After doing so, you will no longer receive a phone call at that number and will only receive a text message.
If you do not want to receive text notification, you do not have to do anything. Your phone number and email address from our Vision system have automatically been entered into the One Call Now system.
