I am excited to share that our 7th and 8th grade students will get to hear Dr. Scott Grant from Triple Threat Leadership talk about personal branding and social media on Monday, November 19.  Please know that there will also be a parent/community presentation at 7:00 PM in the High School PAC.  Please click here to learn more about Dr. Grant.

As always, please do not hesitate to contact your child's teacher, school counselor, grade level principal or me with any questions throughout the year.

Thanks,
Jeff
Important Notes:

OHYES & Olweus Bullying Prevention Program Survey
Students in grade 7 will participate in the OHYES survey and the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program survey.  This information will allow us to evaluate current programs and how we are meeting the needs of the middle level learners that we serve.  Please click here for more information about the OHYES survey.

Honor Flight
The 8th grade social studies teachers in collaboration with our WEB leaders will be hosting a Coin War starting on November 5.  The money raised from this activity will be used to support Honor Flight.  Honor Flight provides an opportunity for WWII and Korean veterans to fly to Washington D.C. at no expense to them, so they can visit the WWII memorial among others.  Thank you in advance for supporting this worthy cause.

Follett Book Fair
The NRMS Media Center will be sponsoring the Follett Book Fair from Monday, November 26 through Tuesday, December 4.  Please click here for more information about the Follett Book Fair.

Washington D.C. Extended Field Trip
Please remember to register at  https://tm.nowaktours.com/ for the 8th grade extended field trip to Washington D.C.  as this is how we initiate and finalize reservations for hotel rooms, buses, vendors, etc.   Checks can be made out to North Royalton City Schools and should be turned into the main office.

Challenge Day
The Earth Team Challenge Day was a success, and we are looking forward to the remainder of the 7th graders getting the opportunity to participate in November.  Again, thank you to the NRMS PTA for their generous donation to help make this program a reality for our 7th graders.   Please see below for each team's Challenge Day date and their informational letter.
PTA
Please consider joining PTA and volunteering your time throughout the year.  The NRMS PTA is a vital component to many of the activities and opportunities that we provide to our students.  Our next meeting is on Tuesday, November 15 at 9:30 AM in the NRMS Teacher Workroom.

North Royalton Athletic Boosters
The North Royalton Athletic Boosters do a lot to support our middle level athletes.  Please take a moment to look at their webpage, as well as the most recent NRAB newsletter.
