Sullivan Scoop

November 2, 2018
Hello, Sullivan Families,

Happy November! Our students had a busy week, and they really enjoyed our Halloween celebrations on Wednesday. Pictures of the celebrations are below in the Sullivan Snapshots section of the newsletter.

We are looking forward to seeing families at parent-teacher conferences on November 8th and 15th. The home-school connection is an important factor in student success, so we hope all families plan to connect with their child's teacher. Conferences are a great opportunity to learn about your child's social-emotional growth as well as their academic growth. While academic achievement and growth is important, we are also working with our students to foster essential skills for their future. Collaboration, communication, critical thinking and creativity are areas that our students will draw heavily upon throughout their academic career and beyond. Here is a link to a brief article with some great questions to spark meaningful conversations about your child at conferences.

As a reminder, there is no school for students on Tuesday, November 6th due to a teacher institute day. Have a wonderful weekend, and enjoy the extra hour of sleep as we "fall back"!

Warmly,

Traci Meziere

Odelia is sweet, kind, and always does her best in class. She is a wonderful student!
Maya comes to school each day with a positive attitude and always works hard to do her best. She sets a good example by following the school expectations.
Alexandra is consistently being safe, respectful, and responsible, always with a smile on her face.
