Jambo Rafikis-

As the news changes by the minute  I continue to pray for our community. Employees here have been working around the clock.   I am grateful for all the efforts of our staff to keep you well-informed and our campus safe.
As communicated previously the church will have no open hours this weekend and no Masses. We are working on determining what our campus availability will be for our community in the coming weeks.

I am saddened to let you know that one of our senior parishioners, with a serious underlying heath condition, has passed away.  We were informed this morning they had tested positive for the COVID-19 virus. This person volunteered periodically in the Parish front office. Their last time volunteering in the Parish administration building was 15 days ago, past the  2 week incubation period.  In consultation today with the Archdiocese and King County Health Department, we were advised to contact all parish and school families and perform additional disinfecting of the Parish work space.   Please join me in praying for the family.

Public health believes there is a low risk of exposure on our campus, but out of an abundance of caution, we will be doing a deep clean of the Parish office. Although we believe there is low risk of exposure to our parish community, we encourage you to monitor your health and call Public Health King County if you begin to show any symptoms, which include a fever, a cough and shortness of breath.

If you have any questions feel free to contact Dani D'Amelio in the parish office. You can reach her at 206-782-2810 ext. 313 or email her at ddamelio@stjohnsea.org.

Asante Sana & Mungu Awabariki .
(Thank you and God be with you,)

Stay Safe and healthy

Padre Crispin Okoth
