MHS 100th ANNIVERSARY:
ALUMNI FEATUREALUMFEAT
Erin Michael Ely, MHS Class of 2008, is another alum who returned to Milton to join the faculty! After earning her B.S.Ed. in Math Education from the University of Georgia, she taught at Centennial High School before transferring to Milton. She has been at MHS for four years and is currently teaching Math and ESOL. While a student at Milton, Erin played volleyball all four years for her coach-Deb Schaefer. Ms. Schaefer is now her department chair. During Erin's senior year, the volleyball team, known that year as the Cinderella team, made it to the final four in the state tournament. Erin was also on the gymnastics team, coached by Natalie Stucky. Now, Erin is coaching the MHS gymnastics team alongside Coach Stucky! Erin's favorite classes were always her math classes, especially the challenge of AP Calculus. Her favorite teacher was Mrs. Alyce Price, her AP Calculus teacher. Erin said Mrs. Price played a huge role in her becoming a Math teacher. She also enjoyed Mrs. Sara Hake's English class, saying it helped prepare her for college and the real world and also Coach Van Keys' Rec Games class. "We hopped on a bus and went bowling twice a week!" Erin lived with three girls from Milton her junior and senior years at college and still hangs out with eight of her Milton friends. She is so grateful she made such amazing friends at Milton! She loved the dedicated staff and strong Milton community. Erin is proud to be a Milton Eagle and loves the history and traditions. Erin is married and expecting her first baby in a matter of days.

COVID REPORTING PORTALC19PORTAL
As students in Fulton County Schools (FCS) have begun returning to face-to-face instruction, a number of changes were implemented to ensure the health and safety of students, staff, and visitors. Among the most vital of these changes is the development and introduction of a new electronic FCS COVID-19 Reporting Portal for parents (and students). This electronic reporting process will allow for a more direct reaction from primarily the Fulton County Board of Health (FCBOH) with support from FCS to promptly respond and address student/family cases of COVID-19.
