The History of the AHS Homecoming Parade
Get ready to bust out the face paint, pom-poms and wacky themed outfits, because Arcadia High's homecoming festivities are headed this way! Not only will there be a spirit week, pep rally and of course, the football game, but 2018 marks the seventh year since the homecoming parade became part of the school's tradition.  READ MORE >>
Homecoming Parade Water Thanks!
Thank you to the AHS Football Boosters for donating all the water needed for our parade. It helps the organizers so much to know that the water will be there for our thirsty attendees!
From the Nurse - Illness Guidelines
  • Fever: Please keep your child home from school with a fever 100* or greater. Students may return to school with a temperature less than 100* (without the use of Ibuprofen or Tylenol)--only if the child is fever-free for 24 hours.
  • Rash: All rashes should be identified by your medical provider. A note should be sent to school identifying the rash as not contagious.
  • Pink Eye/Conjunctivitis: Conjunctivitis or "pink eye" is highly contagious. Symptoms include: watering, irritation, itching, and redness to the white part of the eye and/or the lining of the eyelids. Swelling of the eyelids, sensitivity to light and a pus-like yellow discharge may occur. Students may not return to school while the eye is still red and draining, or for 24 hours after the initiation of treatment.
  • Vomiting: Students should not return to school for 24 hours after last episode of vomiting. Episodes of vomiting without fever can be due to virus and may still contagious to classmates

Swim & Dive
Thursday, Sept 13th vs Desert Mntn
Swim and Dive had a blast at their first Invitational last weekend!  Everyone did great, but special congratulations are in order for a few exceptional swims!
Isabella Fratesi took 1st place in the 50 free and 2nd place in the 100 breast,  Sydney Carlson took 2nd place in the 200 IM, Alexa Teneyck took 3rd place in the 500 free! The girls 200 A relay  (Millie Sicko, Anna Korn, Sarah Harman, and Alexa Teneyck) took 3rd place!  And congratulations to Max Chesno, taking 7th in the 500 free and 8th in the 200 free!  Way to go, Titans!

This week, Swim and Dive go up against Desert Vista at their home pool.  The team dinner and fundraiser will be Thursday at Mod Pizza and runs all day, and the team will go directly after the meet.  Please join us there and remember to tell them you are there for Swim and Dive!
Volleyball
The Volleyball Teams continued putting Wins on the board with all three levels beating Poston Butte. Freshmen and JV won in 2 games and Varsity won in 4 games. Way to go ladies! Keep up the hard work!
Football

The Titans showed some great perseverance Friday night by not giving up and staying committed to playing tough football! They beat Shadow Mountain 32-21. They were down most of the game until Crew Edwards ran for a touchdown on a kick off by Shadow Mountain. This shifted the momentum and the Titans didn't look back after that! Way to go Titans! 5-0 going into next week's game against inner district and 4A rival, Saguaro High School.
