What Kind of IEP Meeting is this, Anyway?
Contributed by Jeff Fernengel, Advocate

Your IEP Team Line-Up: An Essential Feature to a Quality IEP
Contributed by Hanni Raley, Assistant Executive Director
Is the process of scheduling and attending your child's Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meeting overwhelming?  Are you often confused by that process and the vocabulary?  Is, frankly, the best part of the IEP process when the meeting is over and you get to leave?   Well, you are not alone!
I hope everyone had a fun summer! Now that school is back in session, you may find yourself shifting gears, preparing to ensure your kiddo has a successful school year. While IEP meetings often focus primarily on academics, specials and extracurricular activities can also be accommodated and/or modified in the IEP.
