Changing the way Veterans and Corporate America think about military transition
COMMIT’s 5th Annual Changing the Narrative Gala featuring
Special Operations Community Leadership

COMMIT will gather friends to celebrate our 5th Annual Changing the Narrative Gala in Washington, DC on November 9, 2018 at The Four Seasons. This event celebrates our transitioning veterans and raises funds to support COMMIT's transition programs. The COMMIT team continues working to ensure our program participants receive the tools they need to realize their personal and professional goals post-service. It is our privilege to do this work on behalf of a grateful nation.

The COMMIT Foundation continues with more Workshops and Programming around the Nation!

Pursuing Your Purpose
This quarter, COMMIT once again partnered with Andreessen Horowitz for our Veterans in the Valley Workshop in California . We also delivered our Pursuing Your Purpose program in the States of Washington and Montana . At COMMIT workshops, facilitators and mentors guide the group through values-focused exercises to design their post-service life.

More workshops around the nation
COMMIT was pleased to provide a tailored version of our transition workshop to enable Army Special Operations couples to explore their strengths, values, fears, and goals post-service. The program was done in conjunction with the Whitefish Veterans Support Team (WVST) . It consisted of WVST's outdoor recreation and social gatherings coupled with COMMIT's facilitated discussions and programming. Each of the participating servicemembers will also participate in COMMIT's one on one transition assistance program.

COMMIT will finish off a successful 2018 with a workshop out of Bethesda, Maryland in November, just prior to our Annual Changing the Narrative Gala on November 9th in D.C.

"After a rewarding military career filled with purpose, challenge, and exceptional people, it can be daunting to leave that environment in search of an equally satisfying civilian career. Uncertainty is uncomfortable, and transition is filled with uncertainty. The programming provided thru COMMIT enabled us to explore our strengths, fears and goals for the future as we navigate Rob’s path to a meaningful civilian career with a healthy family."

COMMIT Continues to Scale Through Technology

COMMIT is producing exceptional online capability and content behind the scenes. With our new Digital Library, COMMIT has more than doubled its pool of mentor interviews which are specially focused on the subjects that transitioning servicemembers find most difficult to overcome. COMMIT is excited to launch an entirely new website with enhanced functionality and increased capability in early 2019!

COMMIT’s Executive Director pens article about Leading with Values as part of the Inaugural Stand-To Veteran Leadership Cohort with the George W. Bush Institute

Anne Meree Craig, Executive Director and Co-Founder of The COMMIT Foundation was one of 33 individuals in the inaugural Stand-To class. COMMIT works to create serendipity for high-performing post-9/11 veterans through mentoring workshops, a one-on-one transition program, and corporate education. With her involvement in Stand-To, Anne Meree wants to reorient veteran services organizations by ensuring they focus on the quality of their services rather than the quantity served. The Bush Institute is committed to improving transition and outcomes for post-9/11 veterans and their families. Stand-To targets veterans and non-veteran rising leaders that work to improve veteran outcomes.
"This was a unique opportunity that has significantly raised my confidence that when it's time to transition, I will have great options. The staff and mentors were very knowledgeable and passionate about helping us prepare. I am thankful for COMMIT"
