What:  Five historic Burlington homes will be on this year's tour: 800 N Fifth, 409 N Sixth, 1016 N Fourth, 1213 Mercer, and 2131 S Main. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased in advance at The Iowa Store, Kempker's True Value, and Hy-Vee on Agency. They are also available at Preservation Station on Saturday, and at the door of each home during the event. Proceeds from the Tour of Homes support the Heritage Trust restoration grant programs.

What:  Director Kent Lewis will hold open auditions for The Game's Afoot or Holmes for the Holidays, a murder mystery farce by Ken Ludwig, which requires three men who can play ages 25 to 50 and five women who can play mid 20s to late 60s. The "danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays," as it tells the story of a murder at the isolated home of a famous actor known for his portrayal of Sherlock Holmes. No preparation or experience is necessary to audition, but a serious time commitment is required if cast.

What:  Speaker Michael Luick-Thrams presents The Kaiser; The Klan and the Cow War: The Lasting Legacy of Social Reactions in American's Heartland, which centers on the anti-German sentiment that developed during World War 1. During this time, many German-Americans were assaulted, attacked and even lynched in a case from Illinois. Learn about this fascinating part of Iowa history over light refreshments. This program is supported by Humanities Iowa and the National Endowment of Humanities.
