A Call for H esed Committee Volunteers

As a community Jewish day school we have a primary commitment and obligation to perform acts of gemilut chasadim (loving kindness towards others). As we perform acts of gemilut chasadim , we become models for our children. They will learn the importance and the personal and communal rewards of this mitzvah (commandment) .
At Heilicher we are very fortunate to have a H esed Committee. This is a group of parent volunteers who provide support to families at our school in times of need: following the death of an immediate family member, a hospitalization, severe illness, or a new baby.
Being on the committee means helping fill some of those needs to lessen the burden on the family. It typically involves contributing to a meal, but it can also mean assisting with driving or other needs the family may have. It's easy and it's meaningful. Join us!
We are looking for volunteers to expand the committee and to continue with this important mitzvah . If you are interested in joining the H esed Committee, please contact Ali Berdass .
Give to the Max
Give to the Max 2018

Give to the Max Day is November 15, 2018, and the 10th anniversary of this annual state-wide philanthropy day! If you haven't made a gift to the Heilicher Annual Fund this year, please consider doing so between November 1 and Thursday, November 15, at the Heilicher GiveMN page.

Also, we'd love our parents help in sharing their Heilicher giving stories on social media. If you feel comfortable, change your Facebook profile photo to "I gave to the Max", and share why you give to Heilicher. #gtmd18 #heilichercommunity
