"I'm just enjoying the ride.
I'm just contributing what I can.."

Randy Moss
Because there will be so much to do this summer, there is so much to do right now! These days are jam-packed with lists of prep work and time spent planning hometown festivals and preparing for longtime traditions and ushering in new and exciting adventures. In a normal year, this elevated workload could incite grumbles. But not this year! Navigating a pandemic and being told "NO" too many times makes us grateful for a bit of normal and the intended seasonal chaos!

Late winter and early spring at the chamber feels similar to the rhythmic ascent to the top of the rollercoaster, click click click. This week, creates a pause. The teetering sensation experienced just before the initial plunge towards the loops, dips and turns on the proverbial rollercoaster, aka summer. Our rollercoaster features the Elkhorn Chamber Annual Golf Outing, Spring Food Truck Festival, Saturdays on the Square, Elkhorn Ribfest, Elkhorn Corn & Brat Days, DAS Fest USA, and the Walworth County Fair.

WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

While staff can do a fair share of the leg work, it's partners like you who help bring it all together! We appreciate every volunteer effort, every sponsor dollar and every encouraging word that each of you offer up during this busy time of year. The joint effort made is what helps knit our community together and we are reminded of your value every day.

Summer is coming! We're getting ready. We hope you are too.

AURORA HEALTH TIP!
EXERCISES TO PREVENT FALLS
Many types of exercise can help improve balance. Tai chi and yoga are good examples. Here’s another one to try. You can do it anytime and almost anywhere.
• Stand next to a counter or solid support.
• Push yourself up onto your tiptoes.
• Hold for 5 seconds. If you start to lose your
balance, hold on to the counter.
• Rest and repeat 5 times. Work up to holding for
20 to 30 seconds, if you can.
