Summer Mission Activities

Thank you to everyone who returned a survey to help us gauge interest for mission and service opportunities this summer. Based on those, and some other conversations, rather than condense all the activities into a single week, we will be organizing a number of standalone events across the summer to enable you to participate in as many as you want around your potential travel options this summer. Hopefully this will also give our new Youth Director a chance to get involved in some of them as well.

So far the options include Shalom Farms, Swansboro Elementary, and UMFS, with Rise Against Hunger a possibility later in the summer. Parents and other adults, if you would like to be involved with a particular organization and can help set it up, please contact Andy with your availability.
Food is back at youth group!

Our next meal together will be on May 16th, after the Godspell rehearsal. We're currently aiming to sit down together at 6:00 pm. We're ordering boxed sandwich/salad meals from Panera this time, and to give us time to place the order, the deadline to order will be Thursday the 13th. Please use this link to order. Please order by noon tomorrow (Thursday).
Sunday School at 9:30

Andy, Donna, and Steve look forward to seeing you on Sunday morning at 9:30. Please use this Zoom link (password RUMCYouth). We'll be continuing on from last week's "How do I pray?" and then doing a quick dive into the Holy Spirit's appearances through the whole Bible and not just on Penetecost.
Youth Group
Join us on Sunday for food and conversation after the Godspell rehearsal, and on May 23rd we'll be celebrating our Seniors before they head off to college.

Pre-registration is no longer required, so we have deleted the Signup Genius, but please do remember to order food ahead of time!
Godspell Updates

Hopefully everyone in the musical cast and crew had an opportunity to read this email last Friday, along with the individualized production notes that were sent to each cast member. Assuming that the weather holds up on Sunday, we are rehearsing and recording on the quad from 2:30 to 6:00, with time included for two breaks. It's important for everyone to bring a water bottle and a snack in order to stay energized for a long afternoon of work, so please be sure to bring that with you. We should be able to make a call about the final schedule for production weekend (May 22-23) at the end of Sunday's rehearsal, at least on the basis of readiness. This is the last call for schedule conflicts that weekend, so email Daniel if you have any.
