This morning our SCCS 3-year-old preschool enjoyed Muffins with Mom. Tomorrow morning, 4-year-olds, CUBS and grades K-5 will celebrate from 7:15am-8:00am. A special thank you to Cypress Row Enterprises for sponsoring the event.

MUSIC BOOSTERS MEETING
There will be an SCCS Music Boosters meeting on Wednesday, October 3 at 6:00pm in the band room. Parents of students in junior high and high school choir, 5th - 12th grade band, and marching band are automatically music boosters and encouraged to come. This is a great way to meet new parents and get involved!

SCCS 8TH GRADE PUMPKIN SALE
Eighth grade students from SCCS will have pumpkins available for sale/donation after October 6 and 7 weekend Masses.  The proceeds from the sale will help cover the transportation costs for their trip to Washington DC in the spring.

Saturday, October 6, is Military Appreciation Night, sponsored by Firelands Regional Medical Center, at the SMCC Varsity football game. The game is at 7:00pm at Strobel Field, where the Panthers will take on the Gibsonburg Golden Bears. All active duty, veterans, and first responders will receive free admission to the game with ID. There will be a hospitality tent for all military guests as well.

KICKING IT ACROSS AMERICA
SMCC teacher Mr. Perry Fraylick and his brother, Keenan, will bike 3,585 miles this summer from the Pacific to the Atlantic Ocean to raise money for the fight against childhood cancers. They are working with the Teen Leadership Class at SMCC on this fundraiser, which is part of the Kick-It program. Please click here to learn more and donate to this great cause.

DRESS CODE REMINDER
Just a reminder that Monday, October 1 is the start of regular dress code. The warm weather option will no longer be in effect.

PICTURE DAY
Picture Day is Friday, September 28. If you still have your student's order form from earlier this month, you may still use it. If you already placed an order online, it will transfer into our new date; it is not necessary to resubmit your order. New forms will be distributed for those who need them. Three-year-old preschool students will have their picture day on Thursday, October 25.


ATHLETIC EVENT VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

PRESCHOOL STATE INFORMATION
According to state law, SCCS must provide our preschool families with information about the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), Part C Assessments and Screenings. Click here for more information.

According to state law, SCCS must provide our preschool families with information about Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment from Healthchek. Children enrolled in Medicaid are required to participate in this program. In addition, preschools are required to provide this information to all families. KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS SCHOLARSHIP
The Knights of Columbus Ohio Charity Foundation has opened their annual $1000 high school tuition scholarship. Students must follow guidelines listed here. Applications are to be postmarked no later than November 15, 2018.
