Happy Halloween!!
Is it ever NOT gray and rainy on Halloween here in Vermont? It's very rare that the kids here get to go out in their costumes, not covered up by rain gear, or snow gear of some kind. For the adults, all of this gray is very sobering - it seems to be a reminder of what the next several months will hold for us. The cure? Stop in at the shop! We've got all kinds of bright, pretty, happy prints to offset these dreary days.

Thanks to all who came out for this year's Halloween Haunt! The weather did not cooperate on Saturday and some of Sunday - we heard from several of you that the roads were bad, but that doesn't stop die-hard quilters! We had a great time, and hope you did, too. Congratulations go out to Leslie Griffiths of South Burlington, who won the grand prize of $50 gift certificates to all four stores, and to Kathy Rutkowski of Ticonderoga, NY, who won our in-store raffle prize. We hope you ladies have fun with your winnings!

We send a big thank you to all who contributed to make our Make A Difference Day 2018 a success. We received finished quilts from Donna J, Emily J, and Jan M to give us a running start. Our machine quilting volunteers, Kea K, Karen A, and Ruth J did a beautiful job on the quilts we gave them. And our Sunday crew this year, Joan S, Arlene P, Dawn P, Sharon G, Jan M, Carol D, and Sarah J, worked diligently on bindings, some until closing time. It looks like we'll have 17 quilts to give to Laurie's House! Thank you all again - we'll post photos when the last few come back to the shop.
