HCT Pink Out/NYSUT's Making Strides for Breast Cancer
On Friday, October 19th, 2018, the HCT will once again mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our annual "Pink Out"!

We ask all HCT members wear pink on October 19th and to consider making a donation to NYSUT's efforts by clicking HERE  .  You may also wish to make a cash donation or check made payable to American Cancer Society, which may be given to your building representative.  Donors will receive an HCT Pink Out magnet, while supplies last.  If you donate directly through the NYSUT site, present a receipt (hard copy, show proof of email confirmation) to your building representative for your magnet.

In addition please consider marching in the annual walk to raise awareness to help combat this disease that is so prevalent here on Long Island.  Nassau's Walk will take place at Jones Beach, Field #5 beginning at 8 am.  Look for NYSUT Nassau's tent for registration and to walk with fellow NYSUT members.
Welcome Gifts from the HCT
Hicksville Kindergarten students received a special welcome from the HCT last week. Welcome packets containing a book, bookmark, crayons, child ID kit and an HCT welcome letter and brochure went to every K student. About 320 packets were distributed in all. Students seemed excited about the gifts and even posed for some photos!
